The school counselor strongly advised my mother to take me in for an evaluation - so she did. I sat through tests for what felt like hours.

Conversations With Yourself Can Be Hard

Sometimes your own head can be a scary place. Don't beat yourself up if you're having trouble staying on target or completing tasks. It's out of your control, and with a little help, you will get better.

Controlled Chaos as a Way of Life

In ADD
I spend a lot of time looking for things. I do not put things away as I should. My desk is an ode to entropy. My car is a hodge-podge of grocery sacks, bicycle pumps and assorted groceries that feel out of a sack while in transit.

School or jail?

In ADD
I knew that I was different then the other kids in my class all throughout my education. I was put in regular classes, special classes, homeschooling, and private school: yet none of these options felt right.
