I feel you I’ve been there,I’ve been diagnosed back and forth first borderline,Then my parents took me to someone who diagnosed me as bipolar then everyone else since it said I was borderline....Bipolar is really misunderstood, there are different forms of bipolar, it’s considered a chemical imbalance that people are born with, It’s commonly associated extreme highs and lows; mania or hypomania (so mild or moderate psychosis) prior to or followed by periods of depression. There’s different forms of bipolar again there’s bipolar one bipolar to rapid cycling bipolar but that’s usually kind a like the baseline of the illness Whereas borderline is thought to be a personality/mood disorder (caused by external factors ie: we weren’t born this way) most commonly triggered by a trauma (usually in childhood not always) there’s a therapeutic approach that’s essential for borderline management, it’s treated with therapy, medication helps for a lot of people,It’s super vital.
