I reduced my meds and all the feelings are coming back. And I kid you not, I think I NEED them. They’re telling me something is wrong with my life and that it needs to change

Did you reduce the meds after consulting your doc or without? Sometimes we need to take actions to change our life, others we need to change our perspective as certain conditions in life cannot change and we need to accept them, for example, I need to accept my depressed mother and her toxic thoughts. My action is to keep safe distance and becoming more resilient in things she says. I believe you can make changes worth making that will improve your life 🙏👏😇🌞👌

Without, only because it’s tricky to obtain meds sometimes so sitting on a stockpile of extras in case something goes wrong always helps Yes, I am glad you are taking action. It must be hard if it’s one of your parents who’s like that but you are aware of it and that’s good

That is a very wise insight, KR. We do need them. The problem is when they overwhelm our ability to live a good life too. I think of my meds as gentle friends who are supporting me until I’m ready. Or not ready, but keeping on. I have no problem relying on these friends to help me get through troubled, overhelmming times…

I still really do need them, but to be honest it was awful. Anhedonia is unbearable and it’s very easy to fall into the mindset of questioning everything and being bored by everything; as a result zero motivation and looking for stimulation (even if dangerous)
