One of my favorite things to do in the kitchen is look at what I already have and make something out of it without having to go to the store. Today it was banana muffins! As you can see, I have a pup that is very interested, too bad it has chocolate 😋

To anyone who’s starting to get fit after a lockdown binge, I have a few questions:
1) should I start counting my calorie intake (try to achieve a negative calorie intake with a workout)
2) I’ve been eating less but normally (I tend to get skinny from every place other than my stomach and gaining muscle is challenging in comparison to losing weight ) so should I incorporate more protein in my diet ?
3) I feel good since it’s been a few weeks with my current diet and exercise regime. As of now I’m listening to my body and fuelling it appropriately, should I continue persisting at this pace or take it up a notch ?

So I started eating healthier yesterday. I have cut out chocolate and fizzy drinks (will still occasionally have one but not often)
Even though I’m on day 2 I feel so different. I have targeted myself to drink 2 litres a day (my day isn’t over yet but I have almost completed this already 🎉). I feel less tired than I usually would. I’m so excited to continue 🎉🎉

Just because food is supposed to be healthy doesn’t mean it’s healthy for YOU, and your unique body. By understanding this and realizing that each of us is one of a kind, it can be a huge eye-opener when you discover the foods that work for you…and those that don’t!

Random question I cooked a beef stew yesterday put it in to containers and I can keep it in the fridge for 2-3 days, was wondering is it safe to put it in the microwave to heat up when I'm ready to eat?

The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.

Hey guys I'm new to the group! I used to be super healthy and fit, but due to medication I've put on quite a bit of weight. I want to get back to where I was. I have a degree in biochemistry and I'm passionate about nutrition and metabolism. If anyone needs help planning a diet, I can totally help you do that. It is possible on a budget too!

"Perhaps the most effective strategy in losing fat is to stop eating manmade, processed food products and start eating real food. Real food is perishable. If it can last on the shelves for extended periods of time or comes in a box, be wary.”

To know what’s in the food you’re buying, you want to read the ingredient list, NOT the claims on the front of the package.

What’s everyone meal prepping these days when the weather gets warmer? I’ve been slacking on my meal prep. Made a quick tuna salad this morning but I’d like to have quick light things made up and ready to go.
