Just putting it out there.

Sometimes, it’s that we feel overwhelmed because we’re looking at the great big picture rather than the one little step that we can take toward it.

Either or both of you! So Martha, do you mean putting it out there that you’re going to start a business?

So by putting it out there, does that mean letting the world know that you want to start a business? Or do you have the business ready to go, and you need to get advertising?

My goal would be to save enough to be able to retire early. It’s difficult to know how much I need to save to meet my full financial requirements in retirement though.

Getting physical activity can really lift your mood quickly. I remember when I was clinically depressed, my doctor said to exercise and I did!!! It really helped.

Welcome Warren! So would your next step be to do some research on how much money you would need to live comfortably in retirement?

Yes, we can’t predict the future, for sure!!! So maybe it’s about planning for retirement, and making part of that plan how you could continue to receive income? So for example, part-time work...

Part time work sounds good. Less stress than a full time career, I would hope anyway

Sometimes, we think that when we retire It means no longer working. Many in retirement continue working because they enjoy the interaction with others and the additional little bit of income. So rather than a stressful job, something that brings you joy

Great Martha! It’s about starting at the beginning. So breaking that big goal down the big dream of having your own business/into dreaming about what that business might be. So the first step might be to do some journalling and meditating on it

I think it’s really important when we set ourselves a goal to know why it’s important to us, and to take immediate action on it! So breaking it down into Little bits, tiny steps, so that we can achieve them!

Warren, I don’t mean that you have to work in retirement, it’s just an example of a way to continue generating income Or thinking about adding additional if required. None of us can look into the future and know for certain what can happen – we can only go by our best guesstimate!

So I hear it’s the fear of the unknown, that is getting in the way! Fear is a huge stopper of us getting our goals! Fear of success, fear of failure fear of so many things

It’s often what gets in the way! Sometimes asking yourself what’s the worst that can happen? And writing it down dissipates the fear.

The thing about decision-making, is the worst we can do is sit on the fence! When we make a decision, and it’s wrong, we can always course correct!

We can’t always go back though. For example, if I left my well paid but stressful job, I would not be able to go back if I changed my mind.
