we’re talking today about how to stay motivated with achieving your goal. Visualizing yourself already obtaining the goal, for instance more happiness, is a wonderful way to stay motivated

Another way, is to create yourself an accomplishments list. I’d love for you to grab a pen and paper, so you can write down accomplishments that you’ve had throughout your life

You can write down accomplishments big and small, so, for instance, learning to ride a bike is a large accomplishment! As is getting your drivers license!

I really handy way to stay motivated is to take some time and write down a minimum of 30 accomplishments that you’ve had throughout your life. As I said they don’t have to be big little ones count too!

I guarantee this will help you if you just do this exercise so take some time today and write down All the accomplishments you can think of. Then over the next few days continue to add to your list as you recall different things. For instance making your first spaghetti sauce might be a really cool accomplishment!

No, once you’ve got all these accomplishments, take the top ones – the ones that mean the most to you – and put them on a one pager.

You may notice, that many of your adversities in life become your greatest accomplishments when you overcome them!

Pardon some of the errors, I use voice to text as I have arthritis in my hands, and sometimes the phone doesn’t capture what I’m saying correctly and I don’t catch the oops!!!😊

So you’ve got this one pager of your accomplishments and if you read it each morning when you get up, and remember what it is you want to achieve, your goal, it will help motivate you to get up and get going on it

You can take this list, and take it even one step further with a great tool that a friend of mine, Anthony Hamilton, created. So what you would do is take a sheet of paper, and divided into three columns
Reply
Norma ReidAuthor
29 Jan
So in the first column you would label it accomplishment and you would write what the accomplishment is. So for instance, One of my accomplishments is I ran my first marathon at 50. So in the first column, I would write ✍️ Ran marathon. No story just a brief title

So after you’ve got that first list done, the second column you would title feelings. And you would write how you feel when you remember the accomplishment. So, when I recall running that marathon, I feel proud I feel accomplished

Then the next column, the final column, you would title it what it says about me.

So using that same example, I would write I make the impossible possible, I do what I say I will, I can accomplish great things when I put my mind to it.

The list of what it says about you then becomes your list of affirmations. The beautiful thing about this, is that your affirmations are based on truth.

So when you’ve set yourself a goal, you can use these affirmations to keep yourself motivated

I know I didn’t give you any time to write down your accomplishments, you can always add to your list later! I would love it if you each had one accomplishment written now, so that you could do the feeling and what it says about you part of the exercise on that one accomplishment. If your having a challenge, let me know and I am happy to help

To recap what we’ve done so far, don’t yourself a morning ritual, where you review your goal, visualize yourself already having achieved it, your accomplishments list, and speak out loud your truth affirmations.

Then you want to set yourself a step towards your goal to take each morning

I like to begin each morning with taking one step towards happiness, health, worthiness, and wealth. Often, taking the happiness health and wealth steps Brings me feelings of self confidence, or self respect, which increases my worthiness level

So, set yourself one step towards happiness, health, and wealth, or body, mind, and spirit! I think they are the same thing!

So whatever your goal is, put your attention on it each morning, set an intention for the day, and then move on it! Take at least one action steps daily toward achieving it!

Another thing that often and motivates us is forgetting why we’re doing it. So, it’s great to have a goals book, or a success journal, where you write down what your goal is and all the reasons why you want it, why it’s important to you.
Reply
Norma ReidAuthor
29 Jan
That could be on the first page of your book, followed by your accomplishments list and your affirmations
Reply
Norma ReidAuthor

Then on mornings when you’re not that motivated you can read it

And, each morning you can write down your steps for the day, and at the end of the day write down your accomplishments. Then celebrate!

On days when you feel like you aren’t getting anywhere, you can read through your journal entries and see how far you’ve actually come!
