Hello and welcome! Today we will be focusing on a physical component of our needs: sleep. How is everyone doing with their rest?

Sounds good on sleep...now let’s talk about REST. Meaning: are you finding time to rest your mind, or emotions, outside of sleep?

Excellent. The main focus today is that we need to look at our rest as much as our sleep.

Both can help each other.

I recommend a 10-15 minute period before bed of...nothing. No devices. No TV. Let your eyes relax and any thoughts that don’t know dealing with right at the moment: put them in the tomorrow bucket.

Try for a moment right now, put your phone down, look away from all electronics and just let your eyes “go soft” for 30 seconds.

I invite you to time it.

Ten seconds is enough. You can build on that. I invite you to try it five times a day for VERY short periods of time. A ten (15...20...30 second) reset. You’ll be surprised what a little rest can do.
