Hi guys..so I had signed up for therapy on 7Cups over a month ago, and immediately asked for a refund after I realized there are no phone calls/video appointments. I also didn’t use the services since. Finally, they reached back today and gave me a refund of $50 when I got charged $218. I’m feeling really anxious...this is a huge deal of injustice when I didn’t even use their services and asked for money back after 15-20 minutes :(

I’m so glad I save every dime I have! My financial aid came in for summer classes and it doesn’t even cover the cost of my classes let alone help me with my bills. Without me saving I wouldn’t have been able to pay my rent! It’ll be very tight the next couple of months but I’ll have a place to stay! And I’m grateful for that!

Guys, I am so stressed. There are hardly words. I’m currently on a LOA from work due to a recent COVID outbreak, and decided to apply to graduate school (on a whim, really). I don’t have much in the way of savings, and I do not have a car/can’t drive. Embarrassing, I know. Even if i am accepted and receive decent financial aid, there’s no way I’m going to be able to work my usual work schedule and be a full-time student. I have a bit of a neurotic personality, and have a history of taking over every paper I’ve ever written with a fine tooth comb. I’m waiting for my last letter of recommendation to come in, and have an interview with faculty at the school on Wednesday. I don’t know what to do. Part of my just wants to give up.

Hello everyone, I trust we are all good? I saw a lot of comments over the week concerning unemployments, Credit card debt, house debt, car debt and loans all this have been a major problem in our recent societies, I know is pretty bad for some people and that’s why we need to come together and help the masses in anyway we can, nothing is too small or no advise is a waste. Remember we rise by lifting others! So let’s spread this love out and I’m here for anyone who needs my help. Have a blessed day everyone!

Hey Everyone! So, a friend and I are in Uni in the UK. My mates a foreign student working several jobs to get by and I’m quite low income and disabled studying a masters, and also a single parent so times can get a little rough. Anyway, I noticed that there’s an app for food and non-food products where you can get stuff for free as long as you can pick it up? A lot like EBay but everything is free - the whole concept is to stop waste going into landfill, and it has really helped my friend and I out through our studies (mostly the food part if I’m honest). Organisations like Tesco, Pret et Manger and Costa are all on board and they give away all their food at the end of the week you just ask for it...and get it free. I thought it might be something of interest to anyone who’s really struggling or needs the extra food bill money for their rent or mortgage this month. The app is called Olio. I hope this helps you like it has me! Xx

I’ve been financially unable of funding a university of my dreams. Instead, I’m having to deal with an application to the state school for an easier fee schedule. The feeling of having become unaccomplished is eating me alive on the inside. I’m not broken down by it, nor do I see it as a reduction of my ability, I’m just extremely angry and frustrated at not being able to do anything about this for the time being. It’s as if I’m being made to see the day to say consequences of residing from my job. I want to move from this on a note where I feel as if I have won. Not where I am being reminded of something that I have lost.

A few years ago, I heard a motivational speaker reference a study done by psychologists regarding barriers. These psychologists had placed a piranha in a large aquarium. At one end of the fish tank they daily put in insects, crustaceans, and other of the piranha's favorite food. After a few days they placed a clear layer of glass between the piranha and his daily source of food. When the food was dropped in the tank the piranha swam with great enthusiasm toward his prey only to smash into the glass. As painful as it must have been, the piranha repeated his charge, but each time hit the glass with less force. You can guess what eventually happened...yep, the piranha continued to swim with zest toward his meal, only to pull up and not touch the glass at all. Then the psychologist removed the barrier. Even though the piranha was free to eat all he wanted, he continued to go no farther than his former painful boundary. The application for me was obvious. I reflected on the times I had let painful experiences from my past inhibit me from experiencing the life of fulfillment that was free for me to enjoy. It was as if I had emotional anchors weighing me down. Does this illustration connect with you in any way? Do you have painful experiences from your past weighing you down? What I am seeing here in Wisdo, are people supporting each other to move beyond these artificial barriers and live a life that will bring them peace, joy, and fulfillment. I’m blessed to be in this community.

Hey guys! So I need some advice . I have money and I have a great income atm. But my boyfriend doesn’t work due to his anxiety. We wanna get a house together in the next 2 years , he said he will move in with his brother who lives in the same town as me and get a job down here where I live which is an hour away from his main home. But last night he suggest I came and moved in with him because my jobs stressing me out so bad and that he will sort all the money out. I feel so bad doing that and I know it’ll increase the time on us getting a house of our own. What do you guys think

Why are so many people inspired the story of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables? For me it is because I too have been a prisoner of my past mistakes. I know what is it to be crippled at times from guilt. But forgiveness frees us (love that seen in the play) and I so want to use the rest of my life to be a healer just as he did. That story inspires me and I watch the play often and am also so inspired by the music. I hope today is a Jean Valjean day for me.

I don’t know much about how to manage my finances and invest. It feels like I’m constantly living from paycheck to paycheck and it’s exhausting. When I look at how to invest and save it feels so overwhelming that I just avoid. Not sure what I’m looking for with this. Anyone else experience this?

Really upset that I blew my money out the window when I should never have done in the first place. I had over $3,800 when I left UPS and would’ve made more with my current job. But no, I foolishly spent it.specifically with bitcoin investment. I just feel guilt ridden and I don’t like having brother live at my moms house since he stays up all night playing his stupid video games and streaming. I want to live on my own, but just seem to do everything wrong with money. I need help 😥😔
