I had an idea pop into my head. I need lists, but they can also feel overwhelming. My kiddo expressed a similar anxiousness so I wrote her lipstick then folded it over so only 3 things were visible and told her to keep refolding it to only show 3 things at a time.
As I walked away I thought to myself, “Why have an I’ve been doing that for myself? “Ha ha Ha

It’s hard to get motivated when I feel exhausted all the time. I give myself self-care days hoping that I will wake up the next day recharged, ready to be productive, but the day never comes. I’m always tired and I don’t understand it. I eat healthy. I exercise. it doesn’t seem to matter if I’m consistent with sleep or not. 😞

I am proud of myself. I have discovered that it’s helpful to play The Sims while listening to the otherwise overwhelmingly intense material for my trauma course. Today I was finally able to get a decent chunk done of an assignment I haven’t been able to stomach for many months.

I call it "DON'T-ING. I just don't. It is not me making the conscious decision not to do something. It will look like procrastination, but it's not so much that I put it away for later, as much as it is I become blind to "it" and "it" does not get done. I could walk around "it", fall on "it" and never see "it". I have a Bi-Polar diagnosis with major depressive episodes. I have just recently come to recognize those times when I slide into the Don't-ing phase. I will deliberately begin the struggle to become aware again. This is where I feel the strong sense of accomplishment, when I'm able to push past the point where I would have frozen because I've recognized the Don't-ing

I lived alone for 4 years and fell into a hole of putting off daily household chores. I hated them and no one was around to see if I did them or not.
When I moved in with my partner I have been so much bette with this. There are certain tasks that she takes on and others that I do more often but we found a balance. She’s left for a job opportunity and has been gone for 2 weeks so far. It is scary how quickly I fell back into my old habits of doing nothing. Letting the small tasks pile up until they got more and more overwhelming to take on. I don’t like this person and I don’t know how I lose all motivation when I’m sad and lonely. I wish I had more energy and desire to just get up and DO things (as I’m laying in bed whilst typing this 🤦🏻♀️)

I have important exams next week. Next week. All week. I should be going at 100mph and doing lots of work because I have so much to do, but here I am this evening, I got half an essay plan done (I should’ve gotten all 5 done), felt super fatigued and burnt out, went to bed for a few mins, felt no better, I’m back on the floor with my books, feeling zero motivation. I hate this. Can’t wait for the end of June to arrive.
