I rarely post anything in this forum. So here it goes. There are two types of stress: 1- job related stress. Air traffic control and TV control room director. I found an article about these 2 stressors, and they criteria says,"You gotta be prepared to call shots, effeciently." Both of these jobs, interest me. The bad stress is the unhealthy type. How do you cope with the unhealthy stress?
I think a little bit of stress from time to time is normal in life. Some things are just stressful! However, it's when it interferes with our daily lives, affects our health etc that I guess it's the unhealthy stress you're talking about? I find understanding my body and thought patterns when I'm stressed helps me acknowledge it so I can work on more self care if needed and find ways to manage it better. Getting rest, taking breaks, talking it out before it gets overwhelming, asking for help, ensuring that I'm eating okay etc. These things tend to suffer when I'm stressed and it spirals! How about you, Jonathan?
Our household stress is mostly based on work shift changes, re: COVID restrictions, raising a young boy with a genetic disability. My wife has changed quite a bit, with lack of one-on-ones (already got help for this), and erratic sleep habits. A lot of this posting, belongs in 2 other forums, so I'll stop here.
