Moving is such a hassle. So much paper work/information is needed. And with these times, everything needs to be sent online, so I'm having to learn how to go about all of that. Whereas in the past, we just gave everything in person, and they took care of the rest. It's stressful. We've been working on gathering everything needed, for a few days. I'm just venting

Wait to see what really happens, but try to prepare yourself in case you need to go try to write out all the negative and positive things and impacts you think might be coming your way, maybe tools you might be able to use to help you later. I t might be more useful to attempt to think of tools now before you need them as it might be much harder later.Take pictures of areas that have a special meaning for you and write about what you remember, good, bad funny sad, all the “firsts” all the good stories.then maybe you will be able to see the new place with a new sense of adventure. I went through something like this and my language advisor told me that the Chinese card symbol for crisis was the same one for opportunity on the other side. He said it was up to me to choose. I will be thinking of you, best of luck

Hey everyone. I moved 250miles away from my home town to be closer to family who moved a few years before me, however 10 years on I still get homesick and regret moving. I like the house I live in, but I hate the city and have found it extremely difficult to make new friends. (I don’t have any where I live) I can’t afford to move back, and I don’t want to take my son away from his school and friends. I just want to stop feeling homesick and lonely.

I’m relocating for a new job this Saturday. I’m telling myself I don’t want to leave anymore. I’m sad about being uprooted again after four years here but there isn’t any opportunity. Any tips on adjusting to a new place? I’m just sad about it even though this new position will bring me better opportunities.

I'm in my early 20s and I've had to move home from abroad due to the coronavirus. A lot of changes have happened including moving from a vibrant city to a small village with no friends and far fewer opportunities. My long term boyfriend has moved with me who I'm feeing increasingly unhappy with and uninterested in a life and future together. All of this is quite overwhelming and often leaves me confused and anxious about the future. My question is how do you deal with the struggles of relocation and building up a new life somewhere?

I want to move to another state to start a new journey, but a lot comes to my mind every time I think about it. I have saved a bit of money to help me. Is it a smart idea to move to a place you’ve never visited before, but have researched ? Is it smart to move without a job. It’s been hard finding a job while I’m at my current state.

Hello everyone, I trust we are all good? I saw a lot of comments over the week concerning unemployments, Credit card debt, house debt, car debt and loans all this have been a major problem in our recent societies, I know is pretty bad for some people and that’s why we need to come together and help the masses in anyway we can, nothing is too small or no advise is a waste. Remember we rise by lifting others! So let’s spread this love out and I’m here for anyone who needs my help. Have a blessed day everyone!

My fiancé and I are moving very soon, but it can never be soon enough, as we're both stressing out over it and my roommate situation is very bad for our mental health. I know the move will be good in the long run but holy crap am i having an identity crisis while all of it happens.

I've been living in the US for a very long time 10+ years...I am so used to this life now that I feel so lost with what I grew up knowing. I miss my native country. The people and the community. Sometimes I wish I was more like the people of my country and I am nothing like them now. Even the language is going away 😔

I'm not moving far but I am moving out, I'm sick of the food at my college and not being allowed to have pets almost 20 years of wanting a dog is long enough so now I'm moving out and finally getting one, yes that might be a silly reason but that's more just the part I'm most excited about, the primary reason is I can not stand the food at my college and my mental health suffered alot when at my parents during quarantine, once out of their house for college I no longer felt at home there

Hello everyone I recently moved to a new country to live with my dad, I came with the thought of just starting fresh what I've found though as it may be better in many ways I'm still feeling as if I don't belong. With not being able to work or study I'm stuck at home and feel a constant weight on my shoulders any tips to help feel as if I belong?

I’m feeling as if I’m not good enough to relocate again and lack the intellect, talent and sense of motivation. I was unfortunately working at a toxic workplace where my family and inner circle was unaware of the bullying, exploitation and sexual harassment I faced on a daily basis

Top Tips for Relocating 1-Finding out about the area Before the move 2A-Have a clear out 2B-Notify your utility suppliers and anybody who needs to know that you are moving. 2C-Go through your cupboards, fridge and freezer and try to use what you have in the run up to your move 2D-Get quotes and make sure you have budgeted for everything including your removals and any bills that may pop up including cleaning costs and storage. 2E-Don’t leave it until the last minute After the move 3A-Hold an open house and invite your neighbours round 3B-Joining a local gym, club or sports team is a great way to meet new people. 3C-Explore, there are so many apps including near me and many more that will help you explore your local area. 3D-Look out for the local paper, leaflets and community boards,

Can anyone give me advice of how to leave a household you don’t like living in? I live with someone who is mean to me and does not allow me to do things I should be able to do as an adult. I can not stand living here anymore but I don’t have the means to move out. Has anyone else been in this position? What can I do to be able to leave?? I’m a college student with a part time job so I don’t have a lot of money and I can not afford my own place
