Wit and Harmony
Hello everyone! Please know that you can always add comments whenever you come to this thread and I will get back to you. Just click Reply in the box you are responding to.
With the word wit meaning what you express to be helpful in being curious bringing pleasure, that is the focus here today.
Think about how you approach your own wit about self. Are you curious about your self in a loving way or condemning?
What about with others? Are you curious from a loving perspective or a condemning perspective?
What about a current situation? Are you curious from a loving perspective or a condemning perspective?
Our wisest part of ourselves is from love. We use discernment to be witty and take our hand off a hot stove.
When we have horrible thoughts about self, we can use that same wit to question the thought and immediately recognize that is NOT who we are! We immediately take our focus OFF the negative thought and remember who we are as a kind loving being. We can move our mind onto more productive thoughts and get curious to even our very own breath!
Let’s explore our breath. This takes the focus off the negative thought and moves us to a wit state of mind to reengage with our positive thoughts.
When we engage with these positive thoughts we are able to be creative, nurturing, innovative, empathize, explore and activate. Let’s look at all of these ideas.
Apply this to self, others, and circumstances. Here we go:
Be creative! When thinking about something that has you feeling depressed. Be really curious about what it is. Try to name it! Example: I am feeling like crying. Maybe I should take a walk and think about this. What comes to mind? I don’t feel equipped to do what I said I would do. What do I need? I bet I can ask so and so for help! I can let them know I need to know how they do this. Or, maybe I can look up the idea in the internet. That seems like a great idea! So, see how you can pull your wit into resolve? Otherwise your mind will just take you the other way to a victim or pity party. Stop the negative spiral and get curious!
Nurture. Do you just need to rest? Take a break from all that you have signed up for? Escape to a place you find that is quiet? Or do you need to extend a hand to someone that seems overwhelmed and is spewing all their negativity toward you? Perhaps a work environment is volatile because of the leadership bringing their way that they know. What if you bring in a nurturing idea?
Innovate You have many ideas to come up with to change your current ideas, look around for objects that bring a different perspective, check out a magazine for inspiration. With others, think of a new way to interact, come from love and think of asking if they need help. Maybe you’ve always just growled back at them. They may just not go at things the same way you do. Together you can put your ideas together and come up with very creative solutions. With the group, suggest looking at the idea from a while new angle. What idea are you holding back for fear of being judged?
Empathize What do you need empathy for? Be kind to yourself. Look at a picture of yourself when you were under the age of 13. Use at least three words to describe yourself starting with, “I am _____________” Throughout the day treat that little person (YOU) with love.
Empathize cont. Treat others as their little self. We all have taken on some very BIG judges of self and others. Little by little we can start to unwind from all of the yuk! Together we can empathize with self and each other. Wisdo is a great place to show empathy to others!
Explore Just like you did when you were a kid, explore! Go check out all the wonder! Be free! Beauty is all around! Find it in self, others and in circumstances. Pull self, others and circumstances into the bright side!
Activate Be active with your positive side always! Negative emotions will drive you to negativity! Use your feelings to direct you to the place away from the yuk!
If you want help, I am trained to help you reflect that which keeps you bound up! Be free to love self, others and circumstances!
Have a great day!
