Happy last day of August, Fellow Wisdo Folks! I'm back from a week away (apologies if you missed my sign-off the prior week about my pending absence -- I wasn't near cell service for much of last week while in the national forests of WA State. What's on your mind today? Anything at all! How about the news about basketball star Stef Curry's parent's divorcing after 33 years!?! It's what they call a later-in-life, or "gray divorce", and we've seen several of note lately: the Bezos and the Gates couples among them.

3. Venture outside for a five-minute walk. Just do it! And take your dog, if you are blessed enough to be the caretaker of the animal whose backwards spelling is god. Think about that...

16. Declare a vacation day. Write it big on your calendar so you get to anticipate this upcoming personal time (a vacation day can fall on the weekend). DO THIS! We all need time away from routine. I was just away for 7 days with my wife, 24-7, and now she's away for 2 nights for work. A vacation vacation for both of us!

26. Call a supportive friend—or reconnect with someone you haven’t spoken to in a while. This past weekend I was with someone I knew since grade school. We've known each other so long that we really didn't know each other that much anymore, and it was too much fun reconnecting!

And last, but MOST IMPORTANT: 50. Make a commitment to do at least one thing per day that adds joy to your life. You now have many good ideas, so do one tomorrow, a few more the next day, and then continue!
