Ok, this may sound very obvious and it probably is, but how is navigating Change different than navigating other life moments? and why is the price of not investing in doing that well potentially higher than not improving those skills in other times? Not urgent is other folks have more important questions... :)

Thanks for the question Boaz- I do think this is a helpful distinction! Being aware of wellbeing all of the time is most definitely important. What I’ve noticed in 5 years of coaching now, is that when we humans undergo a significant change (and significant is meaningful as that person defines it) let’s say for simplicity right now something like moving or leaving a job.. we have this tendency to shrink, to let the fears and limiting beliefs creep in, and to look for lots of outside help. It’s on these disruptions that we can forget our compass, what’s guides us to peace of mind and wellbeing. All the more reason to keep it very top of mind and be proactive about these pieces before - and especially in the middle- of change

Topicof the day: Wellbeing ✨ what does it mean to you? How do YOU define it? This word can often be interchanged with health. We think about our physical health/wellbeing, our emotional health/wellbeing .. but for the sake of conversation today let’s have that word wellbeing embody ALL of it. Our whole essence.

To me wellbeing means a sense of Happiness. And I confess that I rarely allow myself to feel that way for more than a few fleeting here and there. It feels over indulgent, which I know is counterproductive. But you asked :)

My definition of wellbeing can ebb and flow with seasons. What I’ve landed on for now (feel free to borrow anything that might be useful for you!) “Wellbeing to me means being attentive to my experiences and making choices from a grounded place.”

I can appreciate that definition Samantha. Making choices from a grounded place. That’s the challenge. The grounded place !

Yes! beautiful lead in for topics in future sessions! There are tools we can embrace that will support this grounded place- that of course is unique to each of us!

If you’ve already determined your definition for Wellbeing or perhaps you’ve struggling to identify the definition, no problem! Another question to ponder... What inspires you take a stand for wellbeing?
